Work in progress
Tests have begun by the Fire Brigade for the qualification of the CFRM off-road track for the training of emergency vehicle drivers.
The CFRM off-road track has undergone a major renovation over the last few months that has significantly changed its conformation: new, even more challenging routes have been developed with front slopes up to 100 percent and side slopes, both straight and in curves, over 30 percent.
A ford – up to 1.2-metre deep – ditches and bumps, counter-slopes in curves, paths on tree trunks, a 4-metre deep trench and much more will gradually be shown over the next few weeks.
These tests are necessary to evaluate all preparations from an operational point of view, even in the most diverse meteorological conditions.
The winter season is particularly favorable for tests on a snowy route, with temperatures that in this period have already dropped below -10 degrees.
